Life at the Waseda International Dormitory (WID) is a place where small everyday events can bring great emotions. This summer, students graduating from the dormitory posted a heartwarming message board around the dormitory to express their gratitude to the staff who supported them.

This message board was created at the request of the Resident Assistants (RAs), and many students participated voluntarily. The students wrote handwritten messages of gratitude to the caretaker staff, kitchen staff, and cleaning staff.

The messages, written in various languages, are filled with deep gratitude for the dedication and warmth shown by the staff every day - for the efforts they make to provide a safe and comfortable living environment, for the food they prepare every day, and for the warmth and constant watchfulness they show to the residents.

One student wrote, "Thank you for keeping us safe and always supporting us!" Another student expressed his gratitude by saying, "Thanks to all the staff, my life here has been really special. I am so grateful."

This message board not only expresses gratitude to the staff, but also gives a sense of the family-like connections that exist within the WID Waseda community.

Summer is the season for new beginnings, and we wish our graduating students every success in the future. We hope that the memories of their days at WID and the experiences they have had here will become irreplaceable treasures in their lives.
